Hey Chris it has been awhile ! Welcome Back !
Hello all,
I have been awhile for away, due to a lot of life's issues..... needed to concentrate on more important matters....
Good to see some (virtual) familiar faces around here are still here...
System wise I still have my 604's in 620A cabs, with GPA crossovers. I use a netbook as my source and a little sonic impact amp for power... not idea, but I a willing to bet and show a lot of my buds that even this modest system puts down a lot of my friends who believe that more $$$ (bose, etc...) equals better... I love the look on people's faces when I crank it up!!
When things simmer down, I plan on selling these 604's instead of getting them all updated and use the proceeds for the newer GPA version and building a new set amp...
later all!!
-chris
The GPA 604's with the SET amp should be sweet!

Which model 604's do you have?
I have 604K's...
Happy holidays to you all!!
Hey Val, sorry about that transaction on how those 817's went down... I was taking on more than could chew! Pending separation, death in family, etc, plus a major lack of experience in shipping something that massive/cumbersome..... I still have them, sans large format drivers. If interested gimmie a email...
Later all!

Yes!!! Don Allen KT88SE - nice all around with very good bass control. Sun Audio 2A3 - very, very nice and fluid - my SET of choice between the two!
I have also listened to a 45 and 300B amps. I love the 45, but it runs out of steam for me a lot. Prefer the 2A3 over the cheap 300B amp I had for a while. Probably the build vs. the 300B tho.
